Recently you may have seen press coverage, including on BBC One's Watchdog programme, regarding vehicle manufactures no longer supplying new vehicles with a spare wheel. We are writing as this could possibly affect your vehicle
Instead of a spare wheel, the vehicle maybe supplied with an emergency puncture repair kit that requires you to spray sealant into the punctured tyre. However this temporary repair method is only suitable for punctures that are less than 4mm wide, and the adhesive also has a sell by date.
The reason that this subject has been picked up by the press is due to a number of drivers who have been left stranded after experiencing a puncture, and then finding the kit not being suitable and therefore needing to use their recovery service to get them home.
Since the recent press coverage we have received many calls and letters from our customers asking if it is possible to purchase a spare tyre as an option, we have looked into this and I am pleased to say that a kit is now available from Rainworth ŠKODA.
We are now able to supply you with a spare wheel, tyre and fitting kit (which includes a car jack, wrench and wheel holder) from just £124 including VAT*. We would of course fit this into your ŠKODA free of charge and carry out a free visual health check throughout your visit.
Please note - the ŠKODA Yeti Spare Wheel Kits are supplied and fitted using an additional false floor covering which is required to conceal the Spare wheel. Addition supply & fit costs do apply. *Please ask for details.
If you would like to arrange a booking please contact our Service or Parts Teams on 0843 659 0003, who will take care of all the necessary arrangements.
