For the first time in the company’s history SKODA is offering an industry defining large 7 seated SUV that also offers a horde of rousing features never seen before in the SKODA range. This new SKODA Kodiaq also offers the latest in car technology including wireless phone charging, LED headlights, a rear parking camera and an optional heated multi-function leather steering wheel. This SUV really has everything.
Available with a large assortment of engine combinations and gearboxes, the new SKODA Kodiaq can also be constructed with either front wheel drive, or four wheel drive – and they are obtainable as either a manual or automatic. With an impressive engine series, starting with the 1.4 125ps TSI petrol and then ranging to the mighty 2.0 190ps TDI diesel with plenty of variations in between you are assured to find the perfect combination for you.

As with the rest of the SKODA range the trim levels start at the bottom with the S trim. The SKODA Kodiaq includes some excellent features such as LED daytime running lights, tyre pressure monitors, as well as DAB digital radio with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, air conditioning and a host of airbags all as standard – although the S level is the entry level trim, it’s definitely not basic. You can also get the Kodiaq as an SE, SE L but a SKODA first there is an extra trim level at the top of the range, The ‘Edition’. The ‘Edition’ contains features such as heated leather upholstery, wireless phone charging, lane assist and 19″ Triglav polished alloy wheels.
Other in-built extras are offered on the Kodiaq which have on no occasion been seen on a SKODA before. Functionality such as trailer reverse assist, an area view camera which shows things around the car through the infotainment system and the capability to fold down the interior seating remotely. It’s made completely of clever things.
The new SKODA Kodiaq would be a brilliant choice of vehicle to tow a caravan or trailer. The obvious reason for this is that the Kodiaq is a strong and robust car. However, it also has the feature called trailer reverse assist. This system can carry out the control of the Kodiaq’s steering to guide it into the correct space, without bumping into the surroundings.
